I am new to the construction of vacuum distillation units, and I’m not sure what aspects need attention during equipment installation or how to carry out this work properly Those with experience, please share your advice. Thank you

Are the devices you mentioned dynamic devices or static devices?
It is recommended to study the relevant equipment installation specifications. The moving equipment in atmospheric pressure systems mainly includes pumps and fans; there may also be some electric hoists. The stationary equipment mainly consists of towers, heat exchangers, furnaces, tanks, etc. Specifications for moving equipment: SH/T3538-2005, SH/T3541-2007, GB50231-98, GB50275-98, GB50278-98; Specifications for stationary equipment: SH/T3542-2007, SH/T3532-2005, etc
There are many devices, so it is important to learn the construction and installation specifications, which outline the specific inspection requirements for construction.
It is mainly introduced from the following aspects: 1. In terms of moving equipment: The moving equipment in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units does not include any large or special types of equipment; centrifugal pumps are the main type, and their installation is not difficult. There are also some fan-type devices; 2. Regarding static equipment: For a plant with a capacity of 10 million tons per year, the desalinated water tanks, atmospheric towers, vacuum towers, and distillation towers are relatively large in size; they are generally manufactured and installed on-site, and strict inspection is required to ensure that all quality standards are met regarding the installation of the internal trays in these towers ; 3. Regarding the heating furnace: strict control is required over the geometric dimensions during its structural installation, and the welding of its furnace tubes is quite challenging.
Support this. As beginners, we may lack knowledge, but we must not lack the ability to learn.
The topic of equipment installation is too broad to explain clearly. **There are many standards. The equipment installation in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units generally refers to static equipment. Because the moving equipment consists of just a few pumps. For the installation of static equipment, qualifications are required first; secondly, it is necessary to inform the local technical supervision department and submit an application for inspection. Conduct a pressure test after installation, and prepare an installation report. In addition, it is also necessary to comply with the owner’s various regulations
I’m currently working on a project as well, and the equipment has just been installed. I’ve realized that there are several points to keep in mind when installing equipment: 1. It’s necessary to know the exact location of the equipment before starting its installation. 2. Attention should be paid to the direction of the pipe connections during installation. 3. The spatial arrangement of the equipment also needs to be considered. 4. The installation should be done in such a way that it facilitates future operation by the staff and maintenance by repair technicians. 5. Before installing the equipment, it’s essential to ensure its quality; the equipment department must carry out inspections. These are some of my experiences from working on projects, which I’d like to share with everyone
It is essential to carefully read the technical documentation of the equipment before installation, and to study thoroughly the provisions of GB50235-97, especially the chapter on material inspection.
