Liquid chlorine has **quality standards, while chlorine gas does not.
**I’ve never heard of such standards, but there must be certain specifications in the factory, such as NCL3 or the hydrogen content in chlorine – basically, they serve to ensure safety
Generally, the chlorine content in the ion exchange membrane units provided by several suppliers can meet the usual requirements, such as those from Beihua Machinery, Chlorine Engineering, Wood, Asahi Kasei, and others. Cl2: 98.5 vol% O2: 0.7~1.2 vol%, H2: ≤ 0.1 vol%, which can basically meet the general requirements.
Purity of chlorine in single-tank systems: ≥95%. Hydrogen content in single-tank chlorine: <1%. Oxygen content in single-tank chlorine: <2%. Purity of chlorine in the main pipeline: ≥94%. Hydrogen content in the main pipeline: ≤0.4%. Oxygen content in chlorine in the main pipeline: ≤1.5%
Chlorine does indeed lack **standards or industry standards; there are only specifications agreed upon between cell manufacturers and users. These are merely specifications for the output of the cells, while the specifications after purification are set by each company based on its own actual conditions. GB/T 5138-1996 is the standard for liquid chlorine.
