Vertical, horizontal, or three-spin: which is better for catalysis?

For catalytic devices, there are vertical and horizontal three-stage cyclone separators – which one is better? For our old devices, horizontal types are used; for new devices, vertical types are used. Which is better? What aspects should be considered in the evaluation? The flue gas exiting the regenerator enters a three-stage cyclone separator; we are using a horizontal type at present. Do other users also use this type? How is it working?
We are using a vertical type unit, with 108 individual tubes bundled together; the results are excellent – the dust concentration at the inlet is 300 mg/m3, while it’s only 50 mg/m3 at the outlet.
Our three-speed and four-speed models are all vertical, and they perform quite well; the smoke extractors operate smoothly, with no unplanned shutdowns having occurred at any point.
