Is an expansion joint needed for 20 meters of DN500 FRP/PVC composite pipe?
I’m unable to answer your question. First, you haven’t provided any design parameters, and second, plastic pipes themselves cannot be used in high-temperature environments, so expansion joints are generally not necessary! ! !
I agree with what was said on the 2nd floor. The project I’m working on currently uses PVC/FRP composite pipes, and the fluids involved are all at room temperature. Pipes in sizes ranging from DN15 to DN600 are used, and expansion joints aren’t utilized anywhere in this project. PVC/FRP composite pipes generally do not require expansion joints at room temperature.
It depends on the material temperature. It’s usually not necessary to add it when the distance is only 20 meters
Since this material has been chosen, the temperature of the medium is likely to be low, so there’s no need to use expansion joints
