I want to teach everyone how to create their own menu; the type of menu to create depends on one’s specific circumstances, after all, different fields and departments have their own requirements. I certainly don’t want to finish creating the menu completely just to give it to everyone for them to use and that’s it. If that’s the case, you won’t learn anything; you’ll have to come to me every time there’s a problem, and I’ll still have to provide free after-sales support for you. Moreover, when new versions are released, you’ll have to ask me for the menus for those versions as well. I’d be exhausted if I did that! It’s better to teach everyone the method; once you’ve learned it, you’ll benefit from it for life and will never lose it. It’s like learning to ride a bicycle – it won’t do to keep having someone carry you. Moreover, perhaps the menu you develop will be even more powerful; the more people participate in the secondary development of CAD, the higher the quality of the articles on our forum will be, and there will be more content for mutual discussion, leading to faster progress. :lol

It’s great. Seeing this reminds me that when I first started drawing elbows, I would draw a full circle and then cut off 1/4 of it; I never thought of using rounded corners. Haha, it seems I need to learn more from the original poster – this method makes things much easier.

I think I tried it – the 2008 version doesn’t work; it can’t be recognized.

Menu files from version 06 onward use the .cui file extension. The solution is to find the CAD’s mns file; if that isn’t available, look for the cad.mnu file. Copy the commands from my menu into that file, and that should work.

I’ve learned it; I’ll do it when I have time in the future

I’ve been busy recently with porting an old device-designing software (EPDRAW); I haven’t had much time to work on ShanghaiChuan. It seems that fl202 is advancing quite fast. :Lol, but the connection is lost as soon as it’s placed; it’s a bit inconvenient to adjust the valve position again. So I usually do it at the end (when the valve positions have been basically determined), then use (ssget “x” filter criteria) to select the valve to be inserted, and proceed with the disconnection process.

Your approach is also good; if the connection is lost later, be careful not to miss anything. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages, I guess.
