I’m not very familiar with online hydrogen analyzers either; I’ve compiled the information I found here for reference only: Hydrogen analyzers generally operate on the principle of a thermal conductivity cell. Such instruments are quite stable and do not require frequent calibration. If the signal from your instrument shows significant drift, then please check whether there are any issues with the way it is being used. For online hydrogen detection, whether to use a catalytic combustion type depends on the situation; if it is used for explosion detection, a catalytic combustion device can be employed. If measuring concentration is the goal, catalytic combustion is not used. Since the medium used is not very dry, the gas often contains some water vapor, which may have certain effects. Therefore, for gas analysis, special attention must be paid to the pre-treatment device; yes, particular attention is required for the pre-treatment device, and gas calibration using standard concentrations should be employed. Generally, the gas inlet should have a desiccant container that needs to be replaced frequently. If you have a lot of moisture, you might consider a dehumidifier.
