Which is better, the Aspenplus or ProII tools? Calculate the process simulation for a benzene hydrogenation distillation column – which tool is better to use.
It doesn’t matter which one is used as long as it’s used properly; the key is whether one can delve deep into its functionality. However, in oil refining and hydrogenation processes, Pro II is more commonly used
The former is mainly used for steady-state simulations and is not very good at dynamic simulations; it seems that a module for dynamic simulations has been added in the latest version, but it’s not yet fully developed. The latter can perform unsteady-state simulations, but the operation is rather complex. If one only needs to carry out steady-state simulations, Aspen will suffice, haha
I think it’s the same as well; it’s just that the ProII interface is more user-friendly
