For fixed-tube-sheet heat exchangers, the material required for the tubes and tube sheet is copper-nickel alloy C715, while the shell is made of CS. What type of connection should be used between the shell and the tube sheet, as well as between the tube sheet and the tubes? Thank you.
It should be the copper-nickel alloy C71500, which is equivalent to BFe30-1-1 in China. If the shell material is CS, there’s no need to use a tube sheet made of pure copper-nickel alloy; that would be too wasteful. A composite plate tube sheet can be used, allowing for better welding between the shell and the tube sheet. In the case of a composite plate tube sheet, strength expansion sealing welding can be employed for connecting the tubes.
Agree with the second-floor opinion. Using a composite tube sheet is the most economical solution, and it is also the simplest to operate.
The connection structure between the shell and the tube sheet is generally related only to pressure and the medium; see Appendix G of GB151.
It would definitely be uneconomical to use this material for all the tube sheets; composite sheets as mentioned on the second floor could be used, or cladding methods could also be employed. I also agree with the view from the second floor regarding the connection type.
