May I ask if, due to space constraints, a horizontal heat exchanger can be installed in an upright position?
A liquid-liquid heat exchanger can be used; however, if vapor condensation occurs and the unit is installed vertically, it will affect the heat transfer efficiency (by about 10%)
Thank you. The function of this heat exchanger is to provide insulation; (the material is oil, and hot water is used for insulation.)
If the space is small, it’s better to design a vertical setup – why wait until everything has been designed before making a decision? That’s not very thoughtful
The installation of the supports, as well as the venting and drainage of the pipe ends, are issues.
