Please share your thoughts on the career development plans for chemical industry technicians
Generally, it involves working on a research project; those interested in chemical engineering principles can design reaction units and similar things
Work on projects for two years first, then look for opportunities in sales, followed by management; gradually take on different roles, and eventually start one’s own business
Chemical engineering technicians should develop their career plans in both organic chemistry and related fields, keeping up with emerging trends to facilitate their personal growth.
First do professional design, then focus on business operations, followed by management, and finally start one’s own business :)
For us technicians, it’s just a matter of moving up step by step to management positions. If you are a chief operator in one factory, you become a technician in the next factory; and in this way, you move up level by level until you reach the position of director. Also, if you are a technician or engineer with extensive experience, an understanding of the underlying principles, and a high level of education (a bachelor’s degree or higher), then if you encounter a mentor who recognizes your talents, you can become a chief engineer or something similar, and from then on people will refer to you as such
Chemical engineering technicians learn the most basic knowledge in the factory first, and then proceed with design work, which is more conducive to their personal development.

This has a lot to do with an individual’s personality; some people progress from being operators to team leaders, then to process supervisors, and eventually take on management roles. Some people progress from technicians to engineers, and then to chief engineers. However, management roles pay more than technical roles, not to mention those in supply and procurement. It is related to an individual’s personality, level of expertise in research and development, emotional intelligence, and opportunities; some people may become chief technical officers, while others may pursue management positions. However, building good relationships with those around one helps with personal success. Make more friends and join some communities; perhaps opportunities lie within those communities.
Plan your career based on your interests and talents; don’t keep looking at other options as more attractive. Choose a direction and work hard in it, and you will eventually achieve success.
The career development paths for chemical engineering technicians can include the following aspects: 1. Pursuing further education to become an expert in chemical engineering. 2. Enter the production system management layer. 3. Enter the company’s management team. 4. Start one’s own business and establish one’s own factory.
In fact, the development paths of all professions are similar; as long as one works diligently in their own position and gradually builds on their skills, they will eventually achieve success in life! One must never set unrealistically high goals!
In higher education, from teaching assistants to professors, one can apply for research projects, interact with companies, become a chief engineer for a company, provide technical support to firms, or start a business while continuing to teach and opening a factory of their own. Having seen the replies above, someone mentioned obtaining certain certificates; could anyone give some suggestions on what kinds of certificates to get?
Chemical engineer certificate, quality auditor certificate, construction engineer certificate, etc
Do I need to take the exam for all three of these certificates? Or should I choose one based on what I do?

The typical career path is from workshop technician to technical supervisor, then to head of the technical department, and finally to chief engineer.
