I would like to ask how to calculate the amount of chlorinated water in the main pipe containing the chlorine gas produced through electrolysis With a production capacity of 160,000 tons per year, how much chlorine water is produced in a day? Is there a calculation method for this? # hcbbs
This is a rather complex issue. A saturated aqueous solution of chlorine is what’s known as chlorine water; chlorine water is formed when the temperature drops in the electrolyzer. The amount of chlorine water produced equals the amount of water vapor present in the chlorine gas, plus the amount of chlorine that dissolves, minus the water content in dry chlorine. It can be calculated based on the chlorine outlet temperature of the electrolyzer, the chlorine temperature at the inlet of the scrubber, as well as the flow rate of wet chlorine at the electrolyzer outlet or the scrubber inlet; it’s very simple, no problem at all
It is calculated at different temperatures based on the water vapor partial pressure in saturated chlorine gas. Then add them together.
