Find the spraying speed in the spray tower and the liquid flow rate at the spray nozzles

What is the flow rate range of the nozzles at the top of the spray tower during spraying? I couldn’t find it in the chemical engineering design manual? I am designing a biological filter; I’m not sure about the liquid spray rate at the top of the filter. Is a spray velocity of 0.5 m/s acceptable? If the pore velocity is 2.5 m/s, then the number of openings is too low. Please give some advice, thank you. What is the orifice velocity? What is the porosity per unit area?
