Refining companies, also known as refineries, should be distinguished from petrochemical enterprises; the requirements regarding safety distances vary between the two, and this is a matter of great concern to the local residents living around these facilities. Why do some companies use different names for raw materials that are processed and for the products that are produced, even though they are similar? **Should there be a unified regulation?
