Install 2 check valves on the same pipeline at once? I’ve never seen it in person either; I’d like to know. Could any expert please come and answer this question? Thank you

A check valve is essentially a one-way valve; installing two such valves in sequence on a pipeline serves as a safety measure – if the first check valve fails, the second one will ensure that the fluid can flow back in the opposite direction. A soft-seat check valve is one in which the sealing material of the valve seat is made of rubber or tetrafluoroethylene, among other materials
Having two check valves in sequence on a pipeline is done for safety reasons: this arrangement is typically used on pipelines with a large pressure difference, such as at the outlet of the feed pump for hydrogenation reactions
