Flange: What kind of flange is KF40? Are there any standards that can be used as a reference for learning about it? I earnestly ask for experts’ guidance
1. The English name for CF flange is Conflat Flang. It is a flange connection used in ultra-high vacuum; it is a metal static seal that can withstand high-temperature baking. 2. ISO-KF is a quick-connect fitting used in vacuum systems. It consists of the following components: two symmetrically arranged KF flanges, an O-ring, a centering bracket, and a clamp. No other tools are needed; simply turning the disc nut by hand will loosen or tighten the connection. 3. ISO flanges and piping can be used in various applications that involve frequent installation and removal, from atmospheric pressure to high vacuum. Generally, the diameter of pipes exceeds 50 mm (2 inches). If a fluororubber O-ring is used, it can withstand baking at 150°C.
1. In accordance with the provisions of HG20583, when the vacuum level is low, the pressure at the pipe flange should be no less than 0.6 MPa; when higher requirements apply, it should be no less than 1 MPa. (The vacuum level is defined by a threshold of 600 mmHg.) 2. The nominal pressure of the flanges used in the vacuum system vessels should generally be no less than 0.6 MPa (this does not apply when flanges are selected according to vacuum flange standards); asbestos rubber gaskets are not permitted for use as flange gaskets. 3. The vacuum flange standards can be referred to.
Thank you all for your answers. Is there a vacuum standard?
