In accordance with environmental protection requirements, activated carbon adsorption treatment will soon be applied to distillation off-gases, using granular activated carbon. It is not clear what form of support would be suitable for the activated carbon in such adsorbers – one that can maintain unobstructed gas flow while effectively supporting the activated carbon particles and preventing them from falling out during operation. Please help and give some advice, thank you!
There are no special requirements; ordinary carbon steel brackets can be used as needed!
For exhaust gas absorption, activated carbon is placed inside a steel tank to create something like an absorption tower; the exhaust gas is passed through this absorption device. If the exhaust gas has a certain pressure, no internal support is necessary. If the pressure isn’t very high, the absorption device can be designed as a packed tower, with angle steel used for support inside, or it can have layered supports or a conical-shaped support structure.
When using activated carbon to absorb exhaust gases, if air is introduced from the bottom and discharged from the top, and if the particles of activated carbon are small in size, should concerns be raised regarding the loss of activated carbon? For example, might it be necessary to install a filter at the top? Please provide your expert opinion! ! !
The fixed-bed adsorption tower should be designed with reference to filters, and porous plates can be used for bottom support!
