The fire hazard of flammable liquids is classified based on their flash point. So, how are light diesel fuels (such as 0#, -10#, 5# 등) classified? **The standard specifies that the flash point should be no lower than 55°C or 45°C, with only one minimum value. Or is there a clear range of flash point values for various types of light diesel? I seek advice from experts.
**The standard is essentially a minimum threshold; the closed-flash point of 10, 5, 0, -10, and -20# diesel should be no lower than 55 degrees, while that of -35 and -50# diesel should be no lower than 45 degrees (GB252). Now, refineries are also striving to maximize profits; typically, the quality of the products leaving the refinery is only 3–5 degrees higher than the standard, and it rarely exceeds the minimum standard by much. Additionally, due to various factors related to transportation, the diesel that reaches the fuel pumps is only 1–2 degrees higher than the minimum standard, or just meets the requirements.
Does that mean light diesel can be classified as Category B?
