The issue of steel stamp for welder codes

It seems that it is no longer required to stamp welder identification marks on equipment and pipelines, but I can’t recall what the basis for this is. If any friend could let me know, I would be very grateful.
It’s still needed; I haven’t heard that it’s been canceled.
I’m not trained in welding; I believe you’ve already looked up the relevant standards. However, sometimes there are updates to those standards, so you might want to check them out – hoping it will be useful to you.

Based on past construction experience, it is not necessarily required to stamp the pipe welding seams; instead, a marker pen can be used to indicate the welder’s code, seam number, welding date, pipeline number, etc., next to the seam, and these details can be recorded and entered into the computer on a daily basis.
