Have the Type 66 coke oven gas switching cocks been damaged during the switching process? How do you prevent this from happening? What is the main reason?
It’s probably because the wrench wasn’t perpendicular to the shaft, causing the plug to be tightened too much
Reason: 1. Inadequate lubrication of the switching valve, resulting in excessive resistance during the switching process. 2. The pull handle and the exchange pull rod are stuck, or the pull handle fixing clip is in the wrong position. 3. Poor gas purification leads to tar accumulation. Excessively high temperatures in the flue corridor, extremely cold weather, along with strong winds. Solution: Generally, the resistance of the switching cock is lower in winter than in summer, and the lubrication interval is also longer. Using molybdenum disulfide grease in summer is better than butter. The smoke ducts must be in place, and close attention should be paid to the output of the exchangers; it is not allowed for the belts of the gas exchangers to slip or for the pressure on the oil pressure gauge to be too high. In summer, the windows in the flue corridor are left open for ventilation, while in winter they are closed promptly. At the same time, frequently hold the pull rod to check whether the exchange valve can rotate easily.
It is related to material, lubrication, and perpendicularity.
The lubrication maintenance is adequate, but there are issues with the quality of the spare parts.

Check whether the handle of the exchange plug is aligned with its travel distance, and whether the plug is cleaned in a timely manner; our factory cleans it twice a month – I’m not sure what requirements you have.
