How to improve the distillation effect of azeotropic tower? The azeotropic effect of the two main substances is not good, the separation effect is very poor, and the heating amount is also increased, but it still doesn't work. Also please help me.
You can try adding other substances to improve the azeotropic effect.
Azeotropic effect is poor? ? Isn't it a good thing? With the difference in azeotrope, pure products can be obtained at the top and bottom of the tower. Azeotropy is not a good thing. Sometimes, in order to prevent azeotrope, a third substance is introduced for extraction, which consumes more energy and materials.
Add the third component (entrainer) to the two-component azeotropic liquid for azeotropic distillation. :lol
I agree, this is an effective method for process rectification
When the separated components are known, the azeotrope system can be found in ASPEN. LS is right. In actual operation, azeotropic systems should be avoided. It is very tricky and energy-consuming.
Thank you for the above poster’s advice. Our current problem is: There are two main substances A and B in an azeotrope tower. A is collected from the top of the tower and then discharged, and B is recycled from the tower still. A and B are now inseparable. There is more A in the tower still than A at the top of the tower, which affects the recycling rate of B. How to solve this problem? Assume that the equipment is normal.
Increase the reflux ratio and change the position of the feeding hole
1. Please explain what substance A azeotropes with to form a low boiling point azeotrope, or what substance B azeotropes with to form the highest boiling point azeotrope.; 2. Is the composition of the azeotrope appropriate under the operating pressure? Because of different pressures, their azeotropic compositions are different. 3. The main task of azeotropic operation is to stabilize the tower pressure and reflux. Check whether the pressure fluctuates greatly? 4. Is the return flow accurate? Is it appropriate? (Key) 5. Does the feed composition fluctuate greatly? 6. Has the separation of the tower decreased? A thorough inspection is recommended during maintenance
Thanks for the suggestion upstairs, :handshake
The problem mentioned by the poster is that it is impossible to obtain pure B at the bottom of the tower. The best results can only be achieved by adding an azeotropic agent combined with A or B for distillation and controlling the reflux ratio, tower pressure, feed port and other parameters.
