By adding a safety margin, the capacity of the oil tanks can be determined. The size of the orifices is determined based on the oil consumption at each supply point. The oil pressure is set according to the requirements of dry gas seals and other sealing components, as well as the needs of the equipment itself, in accordance with API standards, national standards, or industry-specific standards. Finally, the flow rate of the oil pumps is determined by taking into account the total volume of oil required at all supply points along with the appropriate margin. Second, manufacturing and material selection: the grade of pressure vessels is determined based on the oil pressure, their volume is calculated based on the amount of oil required, and the cooling area is determined based on the heat generated due to friction. Additionally, the precision of oil filtration is considered based on the requirements of the equipment or the customer.
