After reading about the paths of growth taken by Li Hongzhang and Zuo Zongtang, I came to realize that if one wishes to cultivate a group of talented individuals or to become a talented person oneself, the following points should be followed: 1. Understand that talented people in history usually emerge in a particular era or region, which shows that it is the environment that shapes people； 2. One should spend time with talented people in order to influence oneself, motivate oneself, develop oneself, and change oneself; it also provides more opportunities for self-improvement. 3. One should make plans regularly and set long-term goals, constantly keeping oneself motivated (of course, the overall direction should remain consistent!) Those with ambition set great goals for themselves, while those without ambition constantly set small goals
