Hello everyone. I am a equipment designer specializing in the production of PVC/FRP chlor-alkali chemical processing equipment. This year, the company is focusing on the development of pressure vessels. For pressure vessels operating at normal pressure, the PVC standard used was HG20640-1997, while for FRP vessels the standards were HG20696-1999 and JC/T 587-1995; the maximum design pressure specified by these standards is 0.1 MPa. So, what standards should be applied when designing towers with a pressure greater than 0.1 MPa? At present, **the standards in use apply mostly to steel pressure vessels; many of them are not applicable to non-metallic pressure vessels. Those who have relevant information in this area are welcome to share it, and active discussions from everyone are also encouraged.
In PVC/FRP equipment, the PVC component serves only as an impermeability layer; in pressure vessels, the PVC component can still comply with HG20640-1997； Applicable range of HG20696-1999: -0.1~0.6MPa; JC/T 587-1995 does not specify a pressure range.
