Do those pipelines connected to the exhaust gas scrubber need heat tracing?
No heat tracing is required; a steam line can be added to the inlet pipeline of the exhaust gas scrubber, with a temperature control valve installed on this steam line. When the temperature is low, steam is automatically introduced to keep the exhaust gas temperature above zero, thereby preventing the exhaust gas scrubber from freezing

It has heat tracing~! However, instead of using pipeline heating, there is heated water at the bottom of the tower to keep it above zero degrees in winter and prevent freezing! ~However, the pipelines for heating water are usually only about 1 inch in diameter~! If steam is added, it will cause severe waste~!
There is a heating pipe with a diameter of around DN-20 in the pipeline where the water from the bottom of the exhaust gas scrubber tower exchanges heat with the wastewater from the bottom of the methanol scrubber tower. This heating pipe serves to prevent the water inside the pipes from freezing during shutdowns in winter. When the system is operating normally, no steam flows through this heating pipe – firstly because it isn’t necessary (the temperature of the water from the exhaust gas scrubber tower is around 75°C, while that of the wastewater from the methanol scrubber tower is around 135°C), and secondly to avoid energy waste. It should be noted, however, that when the outside temperature is very low and the system needs to be shut down for an extended period, all heating pipes in the exhaust gas scrubber tower must be activated
Both the top of the tower desalination water pipeline and the bottom of the tower washing water pipeline require heat tracing; in other words, all water pipelines need heat tracing! Of course, the method mentioned by 2# is feasible and practical; this is exactly how some of Luchi’s manufacturing processes are carried out, and it’s said to work well!
