Our acid production is non-steady-state; it was working fine before, but I don’t know what’s going on these days Is smoke constantly coming out of the circulation tank? ? ? I want to ask what that smoke is It has a color – is it SO3? ? ?
There are 2 possibilities: 1. Nitrogen oxides； 2. The conversion catalyst becomes pulverized when exposed to condensed acid (the location is not necessarily at the conversion unit). Previously, it was easily noticed that acid would emit smoke when in contact with catalyst powder (there were reports on this version).
The acid temperature must not exceed 55 degrees
What color? It could also be caused by an excessively high acid concentration. The circulation tank should be equipped with a negative pressure pipe leading to the drying tower.
The smoke is white; I don’t know why either ? Ah! !
By observing the color of the smoke, it is possible to determine whether there is a problem with the equipment or with the entire process (the amount of gas). The problem you mentioned is not common in production, but it should be solvable by engineers on-site. Because this issue can only be determined by being on site or by looking at the pictures to find out what exactly is wrong.
It might be a problem with the water supply; the water supply pipe is short, and the water, having a low specific gravity, floats on the surface, resulting in localized high temperatures that cause smoking
