2008 was an extraordinary year for China’s phosphate fertilizer and sulfuric acid industries. The sharp fluctuations in the prices of raw materials used in production, the rapid decline in the domestic and international phosphate fertilizer markets, the large accumulation of finished products with high costs, and the impact of the global financial crisis have put China’s phosphate fertilizer and sulfuric acid industries in difficulty, subjecting companies to pressures like never before. To address the complex and changing situation in 2009 as well as the new challenges that arose, in line with the requirements of the three-year revitalization plan for the petrochemical industry, the scientific development concept was applied, the industrial structure was adjusted, efforts were made to maintain growth, crises were turned into opportunities, and experiences gained in overcoming difficulties were shared, so as to help the industry emerge from its difficulties as soon as possible and embark on a path of healthy development. The China Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association and the China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association have decided to hold the 17th National Annual Conference on the Phosphate Fertilizer and Sulfuric Acid Industries and the second meeting of the 5th Member Representative Assembly in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, from May 20 to 24, 2009. After consideration, it has been decided to hold the 17th National Annual Conference on Phosphate Fertilizer and Sulfuric Acid Industries, as well as the second meeting of the 5th Member Representative Conferences of the China Phosphate Fertilizer Industry Association and the China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association, on May 20, 2009. The relevant details of the conference are notified as follows:
I. Conference dates: Registration date: May 20, 2009. Conference dates: May 21–24, 2009.
II. Venue: Hangzhou Huating Yunqi Resort Hotel (No. 1 Meiling South Road, Meijiawu Area, Hangzhou, opposite Songcheng).
III. Participants: Key officials from member organizations of the two associations; heads of phosphate fertilizer and sulfuric acid equipment manufacturing enterprises; officials from related organizations.
IV. Main agenda and arrangements:
7:30 p.m., May 20 – Third regular meeting of the fifth term of the two associations; all executive directors of the associations are requested to attend.
May 21–22 – Plenary sessions for exchanges.
V. Conference fee: 1,800 yuan per person ； Accommodation and meals are to be arranged by the individual. Equipment companies attending the conference that are not members of the equipment service network for the phosphate fertilizer and sulfuric acid industries must pay a sponsorship fee of 3,000 yuan. VI. Transportation: From the airport to the hotel: 1. Take a taxi for about 130 yuan ； 2. Take the airport shuttle to Chengzhan Railway Station for 20 yuan, then take a taxi to the hotel for about 30 yuan. Hangzhou Chengzhan Railway Station: 1. Take a taxi, about 30 yuan ； 2.
