After simple separation in the test well, the gas is sent to the burner while the crude oil is fed into a atmospheric pressure tank.
The answer has finally been found: the pressure in the separator is adjusted via the gas outlet, due to the compressible nature of the gas. The oil outlet is used to control the liquid level, and the level of the liquid affects the efficiency of oil-gas separation.
