New implementation standards for refractory materials: The Ministry of Economy and Trade has recently approved and issued the following 5 industry standards, which will come into effect on January 1, 2005. These standards are as follows:YB/T4108-2002 Wear-resistant refractory bricks for circulating fluidized bed boilers
YB/T4109-2002 Wear-resistant refractory castables for circulating fluidized bed boilers
YB/T4110-2002 Magnesium-aluminum spinel castables
YB/T4111-2002 Moulding bricks and seat bricks
YB/T5020-2002 High-alumina bricks for ladle tanks
The Standardization Administration of China has approved and issued the first amendment to the following 3 standards:
GB/T2994-1994 High-alumina refractory slurries
GB/T14982-1994 Clay-based refractory slurries
GB/T16555.1-1996 Chemical analysis methods for silicon carbide refractory materials – Determination of silicon carbide content by gravimetric method
These amendments will take effect on January 1, 2003. At the same time, the **Economic and Trade Commission also approved the issuance of the first set of amendments to the following 12 industry standards, which came into effect on November 22, 2002. These standards are as follows: YB/T5015-1993 – High-alumina bricks for blast furnaces; YB/T5020-1993 – High-alumina lining bricks for ladles; YB/T5021-1993 – High-alumina refractory bricks for steel casting in ladles; YB/T4033-1991 – Silica-based insulating panels for continuous casting tundishes; YB/T384-1991 – Silica-based refractory slurries; YB/T5050-1993 – Clay bricks for blast furnaces; YB/T5106-1993 – Clay-based refractory bricks; YB/T5109-1993 – Clay-based refractory bricks for casting; YB/T5017-1993 – Clay-based refractory bricks for hot blast stoves; YB/T5111-1993 – Clay-based refractory bricks for ladles; YB/T5112-1993 – Clay-based refractory bricks for steel casting in ladles; YB/T5115-1993 – Clay-based and high-alumina refractory plastics
