What is the impact of carbon dioxide levels on the desulfurization system?
Both CO2 and H2S are acidic gases. In wet alkaline desulfurization, the higher the CO2 partial pressure, the more of it dissolves in the solution; lowering the pH value will certainly affect the absorption of H2S. At normal pressure, the partial pressure of CO2 during desulfurization is not high, resulting in increased point consumption. The CO2 partial pressure in the transformed gas is high, which has a significant impact; moreover, there is an issue with the selectivity of absorption by the desulfurization solution.
