Generally, control valves are installed horizontally. We have a control valve here that is used to regulate steam pressure; the pressure is around 30 kilograms. May I ask if it can be installed vertically?
It can be installed on vertical pipes, but the actuator must be supported.

The installation position can be set lower; if maintenance is difficult, a maintenance platform will be necessary. If the device is large in size, it can be used in combination with a chain hoist. Vertical installation requires support, and unless under special circumstances – especially in areas where there is significant vibration such as those with pumps – vertical installation is generally not recommended.
If the valve core is very heavy, it must be informed to the valve manufacturer when ordering the valve! Because the valve stems of horizontally installed and vertically installed valves are different! The stem of vertically installed valves should be thicker!
Installing it isn’t a problem; the main issue is maintenance, so it should be installed in a location where maintenance is easy.
