Today, strange phenomena occurred in the styrene refining tower of the styrene plant.: Water hammer occurs in the return pipeline after the regulating valve, including the return filter, but there is no such phenomenon from the outlet of the return pump to the regulating valve. The pressure gauge indicates stable and the tower operation is stable. What is the reason?
Look at the pressure difference between the pump outlet and the regulating valve. It may be that the return filter is clogged, and the pressure difference between the front and back is too large, causing part of the return liquid to vaporize, resulting in water hammer.
