Dear friends from fertilizer factories, what type of liquid ammonia storage tanks are you using currently? Where was it produced? How long is the production cycle approximately?
Our liquid ammonia storage tanks are of horizontal design
There are horizontal types as well as spherical types. The capacities range from 400 cubic meters to 2,000 cubic meters and 5,000 cubic meters. The production time depends on the size; generally, it takes three to four months to complete the production.
5 horizontal storage tanks with a capacity of 200 cubic meters each, DN3800X18600 size, classified as category III medium-pressure storage vessels; many chemical machinery manufacturers are capable of producing them, with a production time of 45 to 60 days.
We used to use horizontal ammonia tanks, but now they are all spherical in shape – 2 tanks with a capacity of 200 cubic meters each, and 2 tanks with a capacity of 400 cubic meters each. The operating pressure is generally around 2.3 MPa. I don’t know about the manufacturer
We are now using a sphere and two horizontal grooves.
Atmospheric pressure tank: 5000 m3, normal temperature spherical tank: 3000 m3.
These days, spherical tanks are more commonly used for liquid ammonia, with capacities of 400 m3 and 2000 m3. There are also horizontal storage tanks that were used in the past, with capacities ranging up to 100 m3.
