Is it easy to switch from process development to design?

I’ve wanted to work in design since I was very young; now that graduation is approaching, my hopes are fading. I currently have a job in chemical process development, and if I want to change careers in the future, is it possible to switch to design? Maybe I won’t change jobs either; I’m not sure how much of a difference there is between process development and design
No matter what industry you’re in, changing careers is not easy; as the old saying goes: Different fields are like mountains apart!
I think if you feel it’s not the right fit for you, it’s better to change jobs sooner rather than later. But you need to be prepared for that; there’s nothing wrong with it. As long as you let go of certain preconceptions, you can do whatever you choose right after graduating – so why not after starting work? It’s mainly one’s own preparation and mindset
