The influence of the operating environment on the lifespan of molecular sieves

P.S. I don’t quite understand what is meant by the operating environment of PSA adsorbent molecular sieves, but I can share my views and experience regarding the factors that affect the normal service life of molecular sieves. First of all, the gas fed into the pressure swing adsorption process should be free of water, or at least contain as little water as possible; otherwise, the strength of the molecular sieves will be affected. Second, proper management and maintenance of the programmable valves are important – if the speed at which pressure is applied or released cannot be controlled effectively, it will also impact the lifespan of the molecular sieves. Third, in terms of operational management, it’s important not to make arbitrary changes to the set procedures. Fourth, during each maintenance check, it’s necessary to verify whether there has been any decline in the level of the molecular sieve bed; if so, it should be replenished immediately.
