The three elements of combustion: fuel, an ignition source, and oxygen to support combustion. ·Excess air coefficient: the ratio of the actual amount of air used in combustion to the theoretical amount of air required for the fuel. ·NOx: A general term for nitrogen oxides such as NO and NO2 produced during the combustion process. ·Natural draft diffusion combustion: A combustion method in which the air required for burning is not supplied through fans or other forced ventilation methods, but rather air is drawn in via natural ventilation or the pressure generated by the fuel itself to provide the oxygen needed for combustion. ·Forced air combustion: A combustion method in which air is forced in using a fan or compressor to supply the oxygen needed for combustion; most industrial burners are of this type. ·Premixed combustion (induction-type): Fuel and air are mixed in proportion in advance before being ejected for combustion. ·FSG: FLAMES AFEGUARDSYSTEM – a combustion safety protection device. FSG generally consists of the following components: o Power supply: used to power the operation of the system and to activate the relays. o Flame detection section: Continuously monitors and determines the status of the flame. o Ignition output: Supplies power to the ignition transformer to generate the electric spark required for ignition; it shuts off automatically once normal ignition is achieved, in order to protect the ignition transformer. o Valve control output: The fuel solenoid valve is activated to initiate combustion at the moment of ignition output or after a slight delay. o Alarm output: In the event of ignition failure or flameout during normal combustion, it can promptly shut off the fuel valve and send out an alarm signal. o Others: Depending on the requirements, different FSG models are equipped with a variety of auxiliary devices, such as: burner›burner fan pressure switch input, temperature control input, fuel pressure switch input, etc. ·Ion flame detection: Utilizing the principle that high-temperature flue gas has a unidirectional ionization effect, an alternating voltage is applied to the flame, and the presence or absence of current is detected to determine the flame status. ·Photoelectric flame detection: Utilizes the light generated by the flame itself to detect the flame condition through a photoelectric sensor. ·Purging before ignition: Burners are generally equipped with automatic control ignition systems. To ensure safe initial ignition, fresh air can be supplied into the furnace using an air supply fan before actual ignition, thereby diluting and removing any flammable gases present in the furnace. The duration of this purging process depends on the size of the furnace and the burning capacity of the burner; it is generally required that the furnace be ventilated 4 times as a result of this purging process. (Purging after shutdown: During normal combustion, the flame temperature at the burner nozzle can exceed 1,000 degrees. Thanks to the circulating fan, which continuously removes the hot flue gases, the burner and the combustion chamber can be kept below a certain temperature. If the burner'>burner and the circulation fan are suddenly turned off during shutdown, the burner'>burner and the combustion chamber will experience a sharp rise in temperature due to a lack of cooling, which can cause damage to the burner'>burner and the combustion chamber ; Additionally, after the burner fan stops, the high-temperature radiation inside the furnace can also damage other components of the burner. Therefore, for heating devices with relatively high furnace temperatures, it is best to use burners equipped with a purge function after shutdown; that is, during shutdown, the burner fans and circulation fans continue to operate for a while until the temperature in the combustion chamber drops sufficiently, after which the fan operation is stopped. Furthermore, for some large and medium-sized gas burners, in order to ensure that any residual exhaust gases that may have accumulated in the furnace are removed during shutdown, burners equipped with a back-purge function should generally be chosen
