The development of current coal chemical technology seems to involve a kind of rapid advancement – pilot tests can be completed in two or three years, and full-scale production can start within five years; I find this a bit exaggerated! I hope everyone can discuss the cycle and success rate of technology development! . Note $ # , $ $
This is the consequence of following others blindly; those involved should keep their eyes open – it’s not the Great Leap Forward.
:) It’s indeed a bit exaggerated; in my opinion, there is a general tendency in China to underestimate investment in research and development, when in fact such investment is quite substantial.
What teachers research in schools is not necessarily what the market needs, and sometimes laboratory-scale research is quite far removed from industrial application. I think companies should put more effort into research and development.
The duration of research and development is related to the depth of the technical foundation for that development. But rushing to achieve results often backfires

The coal chemical technologies that can be transferred at present are already sufficient to meet the needs of normal production, and the research results obtained by various scientific research institutions do not come about easily; it’s unclear what purpose the original poster’s topic serves.
1# austin02, what you’re mentioning are exceptions; only a few projects are like that. Most promising projects are still in the laboratory stage. It’s not easy to add oxygen to carbon, and then when making products, oxygen has to be removed again – what a hassle.
Last year, the National Development and Reform Commission issued documents restricting the development of coal-to-oil production in order to address the issue of blind imitation.
It is estimated that it is difficult to complete the cycle from the emergence to maturity of a new technology in less than ten years; rushing things ahead is not a viable approach.
