CAD font issue

When installing AutoCAD 2008 on the Vista operating system, many fonts did not display correctly when drawing. I found many fonts on forums (it’s useful to visit forums regularly), downloaded them, and installed those fonts in CAD’s font library. All other fonts work fine; only the FangSong_GB2312 font has issues. I checked the CAD font library and found that the FangSong_GB2312.shx font is already installed. Then why does it always need to be replaced with another font when opening a drawing that uses this font? After some trial and error, it was discovered that the Vista system only has the SimSun font in OpenType format, with no SimSun font available in TrueType format. Copied the TrueType SimSun font from the XP system, and the problem was solved! (Just copy the TrueType SimSun font into the font library in Vista.) Vista switched to new OpenType fonts, which has caused font incompatibility in many software applications! Question: Since the CAD font library already contains the FangSong_GB2312 font, why is it still necessary to install the FangSong font in the system font library?
