As the title suggests, I would like to ask the experts here: what is the function of the water seal valve at the connection between the bridge pipe and the gas collection pipe, and how does it work? Thank you!
During the coking process, when the flap is opened, the water seal prevents the gas collection pipe from coming into contact with the straight section, thus avoiding air from entering the gas collection pipe; it also prevents the raw gas in the gas collection pipe from passing through the straight section and being burned at the outlet of the rising pipe or from causing yellow smoke to be emitted
There is another question: how does one operate smokeless coal loading? What is the working medium for vacuum pumping? How should the gas generated by vacuuming be handled? What is the oxygen content? I’m just starting out with coking, so the questions might be quite simple; I hope everyone won’t laugh at me. Thank you all!
