Tender for the design of a 100,000 tons/year aniline project has been issued recently. In order to develop the downstream industries related to chlor-alkali products and make full use of the hydrogen generated as a by-product of chlor-alkali production, the company plans to issue a tender for a project capable of producing 100,000 tons of aniline per year in the near future. The most crucial aspect regarding aniline production is the design of the reactor used for its hydrogenation synthesis; at a scale of 100,000 tons, fixed-bed reactors are no longer the best choice. At present, the two-layer fluidized-bed reactors developed by Tsinghua University have been widely adopted. If you need assistance, I can help you make contact.
At present, the process design for aniline production is already quite mature; many design institutes in China have carried out such work. As far as I know, there are two such institutes in Nanjing and one in Zhejiang. Over the past decade, aniline production in China has developed rapidly, with nearly twenty plants capable of producing 50,000 tons of aniline per year. I suggest you consider the fluidized bed technology offered by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University. They have partnerships with Nanjing Chemical, Lanzhou Chemical, and Jilin Chemical; it can be said that most fluidized bed technologies in the country are developed by them. By the way, the explosion at Jihua didn’t seem to be related to the *** hydrogenation process; it was rather some earlier stage in the production process.
