First, phenol is added to a sodium hydroxide solution to form sodium phenoxide. Then, dimethyl sulfate is gradually added at a temperature below 10 degrees, after which the temperature is raised to 40 degrees and the mixture is allowed to reflux for 18 hours; After the reaction is complete, the oil layer is separated, dried with anhydrous calcium chloride, and the final product is obtained through vacuum distillation!
