How to seize opportunities in a project?

I am a recent graduate with a degree in engineering. Our factory has a system that was designed by foreigners, and now we are planning to develop another system of our own. I feel this is a great opportunity for my personal skills and career development, but I’m not sure where to focus my efforts to seize it. What should be given special attention to? Familiarize yourself in advance with the process flow diagrams, process control points, equipment structure, and working principles of the equipment. Compare them one by one with the actual devices.
Firstly, your level of proficiency with the systems designed by foreigners at present will determine your importance in new projects； Secondly, in new projects, what does the company care most about: cost, processes, security, or stability? It’s important to address these issues appropriately ； Third, be humble and cautious, avoid arrogance and pride, and learn by doing.
