Things You Should Know Before Turning 30 1. Your career comes first. Although money isn’t everything, it’s absolutely essential without it. Though this saying is cliché, it makes perfect sense. So before you turn 30, focus most of your energy on your career. 2. Don’t overemphasize money. Don’t complain about your low salary or the fact that your bank account has only a few digits, or about the lack of prospects ahead. What you need to do now is to work hard to improve yourself. No matter how high your educational qualifications may be, it still takes a long time to apply theory in practice. Society is the greatest university of all, teaching you knowledge that’s far more important than what you learn in school. So don’t worry too much about having a low educational level. Very few people are able to buy a car or a house on their own before turning 30. 3. Learn to understand your parents. Don’t get annoyed by their constant nagging. When you become a parent yourself, you’ll understand how caring parents are. In their eyes, you’re still a child, but they have really aged. It’s now up to you to make them happy. Perhaps just a phone call, a greeting, or a small gift, along with doing some household chores within your capabilities, can bring them comfort. It’s easy to do. 4. Make good friends. Friends have a significant impact on your life. Don’t seek out too many superficial friends; at least one friend who can help you in critical moments is necessary. If you meet such a person, cherish the relationship—it will be useful in the future, regardless of whether they’re rich or poor. 5. Don’t worry if you’ve kept your virginity until now. It’s not about quantity but quality in love. Don’t think that just because you haven’t been with a boy/girl in your twenties means you’ll never find a husband/wife. You’ll have many opportunities to meet boys/girls in the future. Learn to appreciate solitude. 6. Don’t become addicted to anything. As the saying goes, indulging in hobbies can lead to losing motivation. You played video games before graduating from school; you don’t have extra time or energy to spend on them now. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay the price later. One should have interests and hobbies, but it’s important to know what’s important and what’s not. 7. There’s no failure in youth. Don’t get discouraged when faced with setbacks. Young people should always maintain a positive attitude. If you fail, try again; if you lose something, try to get it back. Missed it; need to analyze it. Next time, I must seize the opportunity ; It’s childish; next time, be more mature. It’s okay; things will get better. Even when things reach their worst, don’t give up – believe that you can get through it. Don’t be negative; it will get better. Past mistakes are behind us; we can’t keep dwelling on them. Right now, it’s great; I’m exhausted and feeling very comfortable. Don’t get hurt; there will always be someone to support you. 8. Don’t worship or despise someone easily. Everyone has an idol, but please maintain your own personality. Don’t deliberately imitate anyone, because you are unique and one of a kind—have confidence. Also, don’t completely reject anyone; everyone has value. If you can’t understand them, learn to accept them.9. Be responsible. No matter who you used to be, start being an honest person from now on. People need to be responsible, whether at work or in life. Only those who are responsible can make others feel secure and trust them. We shouldn’t be cowardly, but please don’t hurt those who love you and those you love, especially kind people, as there aren’t many kind people in this world. Even if you don’t want to, let them keep their kind hearts.
10. Appearance isn’t important. Don’t worry too much about your looks or height. A kind and honest person is far more attractive than those who are only good-looking or have perfect physiques but have corrupt hearts. If someone judges you by your appearance, don’t take it too seriously, as you don’t need to feel sad for someone with such shallow tastes.
11. Learn to take care of your body. Don’t think that smoking, drinking, and staying up all night is fine right now. That’s because your body is in its prime. After the age of 30, you’ll understand what it means to lack strength. Your health is the foundation for everything; without a healthy body, you can do nothing. So, try to lead a healthy lifestyle.
12. Don’t think you’ve achieved nothing. You’re not yet qualified to talk about success, unless you already have millions in assets. Having a fixed career from the start isn’t necessarily a good thing. Perhaps by changing careers frequently, you’ll gain more knowledge and discover your true potential, finding the best career for you.
13. Work hard. No matter how boring or trivial your current job may be, please treat it seriously. Remember, every successful person started with small tasks. You might not learn anything extraordinary now, but at least you should learn good work attitudes and methods, which will be useful in the future.
14. Take relationships seriously. Don’t envy those who change partners like changing shoes. Casual relationships only waste time and energy. The most painful thing for a person isn’t not finding a partner, but having no love in their heart. When “I love you” becomes the easiest thing to say, it becomes difficult to find true happiness in love. Love isn’t fair; one person always gives more than the other. Even if it doesn’t lead to anything, don’t think it’s not worth it, because your efforts are not only for that person but also for your own love. It’s valuable to give love—praise yourself for that.
15. Keep a bit of childlike innocence. Deep inside, even in just a small corner of your heart, keep some childlike innocence. It’s not about being naive, but sometimes being simple can bring you happiness. So, don’t worry too much about gains and losses; life isn’t perfect anyway.
