This is the first time I heard about absolute pressure transmitter. Why is it called absolute pressure transmitter?
Gauge pressure transmitters and absolute pressure transmitters have the same structure and function. The difference is that the diaphragm of the gauge pressure transmitter is directly connected to the atmosphere without liquid contact, while the liquid side of the absolute pressure transmitter diaphragm is vacuum treated.;
The so-called absolute pressure transmitter can measure vacuum, and its zero point is absolute vacuum. The zero point of a gauge pressure reducer is atmospheric pressure.
The concept of pressure has absolute pressure: Based on 0 ; Gauge pressure: Based on atmospheric pressure ; Vacuum degree: Based on atmospheric pressure, pressure below atmospheric pressure. Most of the pressure indicated on site is gauge pressure. There are different transmitters corresponding to different pressures.

Does that mean that absolute pressure meters are more expensive than gauge pressure? Also, absolute pressure ranges from -0.1 to 0. Is the negative value smaller?

Absolute pressure means starting to count when there is pressure. 1Pa is also pressure. This means that absolute pressure starts counting from 0Pa, which is what we usually call - 0.1MPa. When counting starts, it is considered to be absolute pressure. If the pressure gauge is turned into a transmitter, it becomes an absolute pressure transmitter.
