How many non-ferrous metal smelting companies are there in Yunnan?
Yunnan is known as the "Kingdom of Non-ferrous Metals". 12 kinds of non-ferrous metal minerals are widely distributed, with a complete range of mineral types and a large number of super-large and large and medium-sized mineral deposits. In 1994, non-ferrous metal mineral reserves other than aluminum were 39.9 million tons. Among similar reserves in China in the same year, tin, lead, and zinc ranked first, and copper, nickel, and cobalt ranked third. ①tin mine: Proven reserves are 2.3565 million tons (preserved reserves are 1.2524 million tons), distributed in southeastern Yunnan and western Yunnan (west of Lancang River), accounting for 84% and 16% of the province's reserves respectively. Gejiu Tin Mine has a very large deposit scale, with proven reserves of 1.7211 million tons and retained reserves of 646,100 tons. ; The west Yunnan tin ore belt has proven reserves of 231,500 tons. The main mining areas include Tengchong Xiaolonghe, Lianghe Lailishan and Yunlong Tiechang tin mines, with proven reserves of 65,600 tons, 20,400 tons and 38,900 tons respectively. ② Lead and zinc mines: Proven reserves are 27.6486 million tons (preserved reserves are 24.3143 million tons), mainly distributed in Lanping County, southeastern Yunnan and northeastern Yunnan. The reserves account for 60%, 23% and 10% of the province respectively. Lanping Jinding Lead-Zinc Mine is a very large deposit with proven lead-zinc reserves of 15.7461 million tons. ; There are 7 large-scale mining areas, including Maguandu Long Tin-Zinc Mine, Gejiu Tin Mine Symbiotic Lead-Zinc Mine, Lancang Laochang Silver-Lead Mine, Jianshui Huangtian, Huize Mining Factory No. 170 Factory, etc. ③copper mine: The proven reserves are 8.5539 million tons (the retained reserves are 6.9505 million tons), and 76.5% of the reserves are concentrated in copper-rich mineral belts, followed by southeastern Yunnan (accounting for 12%) and northwest Yunnan (accounting for 6%). Large-scale copper mines include Dongchuan Copper Mine (proven copper reserves of 2.7098 million tons), Dahongshan Copper Mine (1.5565 million tons) and Yimen Copper Mine (806,000 tons). ④The ore is mainly nickel silicate and is distributed at the junction of Mojiang River and Yuanjiang River. 85% of antimony ore reserves are concentrated in three large and medium-sized antimony mines, Guangnan Muli (reserves of 173,900 tons), Xichou Xiaotinban and Weishan Bijiashan. Bauxite is distributed in Wenshan Prefecture and Kunming area, and the former has better ore quality and development conditions. Minerals such as tungsten, mercury, molybdenum, cobalt, and bismuth are mostly symbiotic and associated minerals. The poster asked how many non-ferrous metal smelting companies there are. I don’t think everyone can answer it. There must be many! :victory:
Yunnan Tin Industry Co., Ltd., Chihong Zinc and Germanium Co., Ltd., Qujing City, Yunnan Province
Kunming Dongchuan Zhongzhi Copper and Lead Smelter
Yunnan Copper Group has many subsidiaries.
Is the poster asking about the total number of companies or how much metal is smelted? In Yunnan, smelting units are producing copper, lead, zinc, tin, antimony, etc., and lead and zinc companies are also extracting rare metals such as indium and germanium that are associated with lead and zinc.
This question is too general to give a specific answer. As far as I know, there are no less than 20 copper smelters in Dongchuan alone.
