Also, I want to graduate from Kaichuan Primary School as soon as possible~ Self-assessment: In the early morning, I ride my bicycle along with the stream of people. The Scenic Red Sun rushed towards us; the fresh air, mixed with the fragrance of plants, was truly refreshing. Wide and clean roads stretched ahead, with neat and impressive factories coming into view from time to time. Enter through the West Main Gate, pass by the Second Steel Smelting Plant, go through the Quality Inspection Department, then the Semi-continuous Rolling Mill; turn left at the machine head, and you’ll reach the instrumentation unit in the East Area of the Power Control Plant – it’s time to start another day of work! I reported to the company on July 10, 2008, and have been working in the team since July 28; it feels like almost half a year has passed already. Transitioning from a student to a member of society, turning theoretical knowledge from books into practical applications – there is truly so much I need to learn. Fortunately, thanks to the care of my supervisors and the guidance of my mentors, I have gradually become part of the Yegang team and continued to improve myself. As instrument maintenance technicians, our team is primarily responsible for the daily maintenance of instruments and equipment in areas such as the Second Iron Smelting Plant, the Fourth Steel Smelting Plant, the Second Steel Rolling Plant, and the Quality Control Department. We also assist external contractors with the upgrading and modification of the production control systems in these areas. Although I was prepared to endure hardships, on my first day in the team, I faced a tough challenge right away. Due to severe aging of the compensation wires for the thermocouples used to measure the temperature of the heat treatment bell-type furnace, rewiring is required. At the end of July, the sun was scorching outside the factory building, and the covered furnace inside it was filled with intense heat. Most of the compensation wires have to pass through the furnace roof beams, which are covered with a thick layer of dust, while the crane keeps moving back and forth. Bending over to lay out the string on the upper part of the beam, his clothes and pants got wet very quickly. After nearly an hour of wiring, I finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, I know that Worker Wang beside me was even more relieved; he not only removed most of the wires but also kept reminding me to be careful and stay safe. In the subsequent practical exercises, I followed the arrangements of Team Leader Zhu Gong and went to various workshops with the other technicians to carry out instrument maintenance. From becoming familiar with the site environment to understanding various process flows ； From reporting daily energy data to becoming familiar with the settings of common digital displays ； From the inspection and replacement of thermocouples to the adjustment of valve position control ； From learning weight calibration to troubleshooting RTU failures in coal adjustment and collection. Unconsciously, I kept learning and mastering the basic theories and practical skills for instrument maintenance. During this period, I was mainly involved with my supervisor in the technical upgrades of the continuous heat treatment furnace in the second steelmaking plant, as well as in the follow-up adjustments for the water treatment system in the No. 3 continuous casting unit of the fourth steelmaking plant. In September 2008, the heat treatment continuous furnace for secondary steel rolling was switched from manual control to DCS control, and under the guidance of Master Cheng Songbin, I participated in the system wiring work. From wire stripping techniques to wiring connections, Master Cheng taught me step by step, covering all power cables, signal cables, and feedback wires – from the field to the terminal blocks in the instrument cabinet, and then on to the digital display units and DCS system. Although the progress slowed down due to my influence, the work was finally completed successfully. In December 2008, the main construction of the water treatment system for the No. 3 continuous casting line was nearly completed, and it was necessary to install relevant instruments and meters to collect operational parameters at various measurement points. I hope Manager Gong can arrange for Engineer Wang and me to carry out the tracking and debugging, with Engineer Wang from the Standards Department also offering his assistance. It was a rare learning opportunity; I and my mentor checked the models and quantities of various instruments against a list, and inspected their installation on site according to the drawings, verifying each one carefully. Propose corrective measures for the improper aspects of the construction unit. Since all debugging was required to be completed by October 25th, and the deadline was tight, we all gave up our vacations. From temperature-dependent pressure to flow valve position control, we and our subcontractors conduct signal simulation tests for each parameter to ensure accuracy.
