A design institute has given a design pressure of 2.8MPaG/FV. What does the latter represent? 2. I don’t know what the one after 8 MPa means. What kind of unit is it? Thank you sea friends! ! !
G refers to the gauge pressure FV. I don’t know what it means. Normally, the drawings given by the design institute include the homepage picture, which clearly indicates the codes in the drawings. You can check it from the homepage picture.
fv when considering the negative pressure state value: full vacuum
'Design pressure is 2.8MPaG/FV ' means the maximum design pressure is 2.8MPa gauge pressure and the minimum pressure is vacuum.

What we are talking about here is the design pressure, and FV is full vacuum. The FV here is not a flow control valve.
