I am planning to carry out some research on melt crystallization in the near future, but I have very little information on this topic. I would be grateful if experts in this field could provide guidance – what does melt crystallization entail, and what are the challenges involved? I am extremely grateful
What specific products do you make? Fusion crystallization is generally used for separation. It includes three steps: melting and cooling crystallization, and heating for sweating. Another complexity might be multi-stage sweating. Control the crystallization process carefully to keep impurities out of the crystals as much as possible. I did it a few years ago, when I was in college; I worked on TDI crystallization, but I’ve forgotten a lot of it.
Tianjin University of Science and Technology has a research group that is currently focused on industrial crystallization, including melt crystallization
I am working on this. Melting crystallization includes solid-phase melting crystallization and suspension melting crystallization. Japonese mainly use suspension melting crystallization. Europe mainly focuses on solid-phase layer melting crystallization. As mentioned on the third floor, solid-phase layered melting crystallization mainly includes the aspects he discussed; in addition, the material of the equipment, seed crystal control, and washing are also very important control steps. If you're interested, check out my blog; feel free to communicate.
We provide pilot-scale melt crystallization reactor process development equipment, with a minimum capacity of 200 ml; TEL: 13356757810
Experiments are very important; one can build their own pilot-scale equipment to explore various parameters. In the past, the prices of Sulzer’s melt crystallizers were extremely high, but we have developed our own solutions by finding domestic manufacturers to produce the equipment, requiring only 10% of the investment needed for Sulzer’s version.
