Nowadays, many manufacturers use turbines for chlorine transportation, and there are strict requirements regarding the water content in chlorine; therefore, online analyzers are installed and linked to the chlorine compressors. However, analyzers can also malfunction, and such failures can lead to an interlocked shutdown. How do they carry out online maintenance without shutting down the system? ， ， -
Regarding the online analysis results and the turbine interlocks, it seems like they might be over-enhanced – is it feasible to implement them?
I heard it’s possible to do this, and my company has also purchased one unit for use, but I personally think the results might not be very good...
Online seems more intuitive and fast, but the results are always on the low side, and it is rarely maintained. The most reliable method is still to perform manual analysis yourself.
According to national standards, only the phosphorus pentoxide method can be used; for online analysis, the German DKS moisture analyzer can be employed. It is always used in conjunction with 3K (Siemens) chlorine compressors, offering high precision and reliability.
Reply to 1# Zhaohua: To perform maintenance on the instrument without shutting it down, a dual-probe measurement system is required. If one of them is maintained, the other can still function properly. If the sampling and analysis system of the trace water analyzer you are using is equipped with only one moisture probe, it is not practical to carry out maintenance without shutting down the device.
