What about the 20,000 cubic meter gasoline storage tank? The cost of a 100,000-cubic-meter storage tank should include the following elements: 1. The tank body and its accessories (floating roof, seals, anti-corrosion measures, insulation, level measurement systems, etc.); 2. The tank foundation (ring wall) and the underlying soil structure (pile foundations + footings, composite foundations, etc.); 3. Supporting facilities for the tank (process pipelines, roads, landscaping, ring walls, fire protection systems); 4. Facilities necessary for the storage area (wharves, railways, road transport and loading/unloading equipment). Well, each of these aspects requires significant investment. Nowadays, most 100,000-cubic-meter storage tanks are built on soft coastal soils, which results in high costs related to the site and foundation. As a result, the cost per cubic meter of storage capacity exceeds 1,000 yuan, meaning that the total cost of such a tank is over 100 million yuan. Considering only the cost of a single tank provides some guidance for expanding existing oil depots; taking 1-3 necessary accompanying facilities into account, the cost should be at least around 40-50 million.
