The raw material used for hydrogen production in our company is naphtha, which results in high energy consumption; we plan to switch to natural gas in the future. I wonder what the situation is like for others? Also, may I ask how you handle exhaust gases containing large amounts of CO2 in hydrogen production? Was it recycled, or discarded?
Using dry gas or natural gas as raw materials for hydrogen production is more economical, and the relevant processes are also well-established. As for the CO2 byproduct generated, it is compressed here and then sent to be turned into dry ice, or taken to nearby fertilizer factories to be used as a raw material for producing urea.

For now, we still use PSA to adsorb exhaust gases before sending them to the conversion furnace; it is possible that a carbon dioxide recovery system will be installed before the PSA unit. There are now many raw materials available for hydrogen production; tail oil, refinery gas, and natural gas can all be used. Waste gas can be used as fuel in conversion furnaces, or carbon dioxide can be recovered from it
Our raw materials are hydrogenated dry gas, coking dry gas, and aromatic dry gas. The desorbed gas from the PSA is sent to the converter for burning.

We use coker dry gas and PSA off-gas to be burned in the converter, which allows for significant fuel savings
Our plant uses coking dry gas as the feed gas; mixing PSA off-gas with gas makes an excellent fuel gas for the conversion furnace.

The most common raw materials for hydrogen production today are natural gas and coker dry gas; the by-product gas obtained after PSA adsorption is sent to a converter as fuel.
Our raw material is coker dry gas; it is also possible to use catalyzed dry gas, but that isn’t practical. Additionally, the exhaust gas and fuel gas are mixed together to serve as fuel for the conversion furnace, with the pressure maintained at around 20 kPa.
